Three operational buckets.
Scope is fixed before work begins. Every engagement reports against the same deliverables, on the same calendar.
Accounting & Reconciliation
Month-end closing, gross-to-net payroll reconciliation, and systematic ledger auditing. The close runs to a published calendar, and every account carries a reconciliation that ties to a source outside the ledger.
What lands
- Month-end close package: profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash movement against the prior period.
- Gross-to-net payroll reconciliation, timesheet hours matched line by line to the payroll register.
- Bank, card and clearing account reconciliations with an itemised open-items list.
- Job and project cost reporting, including committed cost from open purchase orders.
- Written variance commentary on anything that moves outside its expected range.
Advisory & Lean Operations
Applying OEE and Lean frameworks to financial workflows to eliminate waste and optimize resource allocation. The measure is not opinion — it is cycle time, rework rate, and the number of hands a transaction passes through.
What lands
- Current-state map of every finance workflow, with cycle time and handoff count per step.
- A ranked waste register: duplicate entry, manual re-keying, unreconciled queues, waiting time.
- Target-state design with the calendar, owners and system of record named for each step.
- Rolling cash and margin forecast built from the same ledger the close reports against.
- Quarterly review against the measures set at the start — no moving baselines.
Tech-Driven Compliance
Electronic tax compliance, invoice tracking, and integration of QuickBooks Online, ERPs, and AI-assisted data extraction tools. Filings are prepared from reconciled data, not from a separate spreadsheet kept alongside it.
What lands
- Monthly electronic filings prepared, reviewed and archived with their supporting extract.
- Purchase and sales registers reconciled to the ledger before anything is submitted.
- Annual financial statements built from the same monthly record, with the tax computation shown.
- Certified and prevailing-wage payroll reporting where a contract requires it.
- System integration and data extraction set up so the same figure is never typed twice.
Pick the shape, then we fix the scope.
Every model starts with the same 30-day audit. What changes is what happens after it.
| Model | Covers | Cadence |
|---|---|---|
| Audit & clean-up | One-time ledger review, backlog reconciliation, and a written list of open items with a remediation order. | Fixed term |
| Ongoing bookkeeping | Transaction processing, reconciliations and the monthly close package, run on a published calendar. | Monthly |
| Compliance | Electronic filings, registers and annual statements prepared from the reconciled ledger. | Monthly / annual |
| Strategic advisory | Workflow redesign, cost and margin analysis, forecasting, and system selection. | Quarterly |
Before you ask.
How does an engagement start?
With a discovery call, then a written scope. Nothing begins until the deliverables, the calendar and the fee are agreed in writing. The first 30 days are the audit: a full ledger review and a written list of open items.
Do you replace our bookkeeper or work alongside one?
Both arrangements are common. Where an internal bookkeeper is in place, we take the close, the reconciliations and the reporting layer, and the internal role keeps day-to-day processing. The split is written into the scope so no step is owned twice.
Which systems do you work in?
QuickBooks Online is the usual system of record, with Bill.com, Smartsheet, JobNimbus and Paychex around it, and SUNAT / SIRE for Peruvian electronic filing. Where a different ERP is already in place, we work in it rather than migrating for its own sake.
Can you take on a backlog?
Yes. Backlog clean-up is scoped as a fixed-term audit engagement, priced separately from any ongoing work, so the remediation has a defined end date.
Do you work across borders?
Yes. The practice covers Peruvian electronic compliance and United States project accounting, including certified and prevailing-wage payroll reporting where a contract requires it.
